I grew up on a farm surrounded by family, pets, farm animals,
and the woods. My free time was spent playing with Legos and
K'NEX, dismantling old toys and VCRs, and building various
contraptions with whatever materials I could find. Curiosity
about why and how things worked inspired me to actively pursue
knowledge. I had a small film point and shoot camera that I
brought on all of the family vacations and road trips. Growing
up in a family that welcomed foster children and exchange
students I've experienced being the youngest, middle, and oldest
child. This highly dynamic and diverse background has greatly
shaped who I am today.
I'm currently working on my Masters Thesis in Mechanical
Engineering at WPI and act as a
teachers assistant for the robotics program. I compete
nationally in the sport of Robotic Combat where I am
internationally ranked. I'm always looking for the next chance
to experience the world through traveling, hiking, and camping.
My simple film camera has been upgraded to a DSLR and now I'm
always looking for the best shot in my travels.
Life is about living and so I'm always ready for the next
challenge and/or opportunity!
